19+ Policy
1. 19+ Only
1.1 Sydney Casino is for adults only. You must be at least 19 to register, deposit, claim a promotion or play any game in the lobby, including Popular slots, Jackpots and Live Casino.
1.2 Nobody under 19 may play with us, wherever they live, even where local rules allow gambling at a younger age. Accounts can be opened only where online gambling is permitted, and our checks follow Canadian rules on age verification, identity and anti-money laundering.
1.3 We direct our marketing at adults only. We avoid characters, themes or channels intended to attract young people, and we will never knowingly send an offer to anyone under 19.
2. How We Check Age
2.1 Every player provides their date of birth and full name at sign-up. Registration stays closed to anyone younger than 19.
2.2 Identity (KYC) verification and a geolocation check are completed before any deposit. No account can be funded until the player's age and location have been confirmed.
2.3 Where we cannot confirm age electronically, we request a valid government-issued photo document. Play stays locked until that document has been checked.
2.4 Age checks can be repeated whenever we decide, such as when account details are changed or if the account seems to be used by a person other than its holder. Our Identity Checks page explains the full process.
3. Shared Devices
3.1 In many households, phones, tablets and laptops are shared between several people. Our checks confirm the account holder's age, so keeping the account itself away from young people is a responsibility we share with you.
3.2 To help keep minors away from your account:
- Never let anyone else use your account, even for a single spin.
- Avoid storing your password in the browser or app on any device that children use.
- Log out after every session rather than just closing the tab.
- Lock your device with a fingerprint, PIN or pattern.
- Keep payment cards and e-wallet passwords somewhere others cannot get to them.
- On shared computers and tablets, give each person a separate user profile.
3.3 Account holders are responsible for all activity on their account. Letting a minor play seriously breaches our Account Terms and will result in the account being closed.
4. If a Minor Is Found
4.1 If we find out, or have reasonable grounds to believe, that an account belongs to or is being used by someone below 19, the account is suspended straight away and our checks begin.
4.2 If underage play is confirmed:
- the account is closed permanently;
- all winnings are void;
- deposits are refunded, where possible, to the original payment method;
- any linked accounts are checked and closed if needed;
- marketing to the account stops.
4.3 If a minor played with the permission of an adult account holder, we close the adult's account too and will not let them open another one.
4.4 Think a player at Sydney Casino may be under 19? Please contact us. Every report is handled in confidence.
5. Parental Controls and Filtering
5.1 Software and device settings add a strong extra layer of protection. We encourage every parent and guardian to use them.
- Gamban / GamBlock: programs that prevent your devices from opening gambling websites and apps.
- Device settings: phones, tablets and consoles include built-in parental controls, screen time settings and app store age classification filters.
- Browser filters: most browsers support family accounts and content filtering.
- Home network: a lot of internet providers and routers include filtering options that keep gambling content off every device in the household.
5.2 It also helps to speak frankly with young people about gambling. Make clear that games are built to give the house the advantage, and that advertising features winners while leaving out the much bigger group who lose.
5.3 Where a relative is being harmed by gambling, free and confidential help is available from the Responsible Gambling Council, ConnexOntario and 211 Alberta. The tools and services open to adult players are set out on our Safer Play page.
6. Contact
6.1 Email mail@sydneycasino.app if you want to flag an account you believe belongs to a minor or have a question about this policy.
6.2 Please add anything that helps us locate the account, for example the registration email address or the username. We act on every report and never reveal who sent it.
